We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) – SQL Server with Italian language to join our Global Delivery team. You will provide deep technical expertise in enterprise SQL Server platforms, supporting customers across on‑premises, hybrid, and modernization scenarios.
You will work with mission‑critical data platforms, helping customers design, operate, secure, and optimize SQL Server environments with a strong focus on availability, performance, security, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Act as a technical authority for SQL Server platforms within Global Delivery engagements
Design, deploy, and support enterprise‑scale SQL Server architectures, primarily on‑premises and hybrid
Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to:
Performance bottlenecks
Availability and reliability
Query and workload optimization
Design and support High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) solutions, including:
Failover Clustering
Always On Availability Groups
Backup and restore strategies
Lead and support SQL Server upgrades and migrations between versions
Optimize SQL Server configurations for:
Scalability
Capacity planning
Operational stability
Implement and validate SQL Server security best practices, including:
Authentication and authorization
Encryption
Least‑privilege access
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver repeatable, high‑quality Global Delivery outcomes
Contribute to technical documentation, best practices, and SQL Server knowledge sharing initiatives
Qualifications:
Strong experience in one or more of the following areas is required:
Microsoft SQL Server administration (enterprise environments)
SQL Server architecture and internals
Performance tuning and query optimization
High Availability and Disaster Recovery:
Always On Availability Groups
Failover Clustering
Backup and recovery
SQL Server installation, configuration, and patching
Capacity planning and scalability
Troubleshooting using:
SQL Server logs
Performance counters
Wait statistics and execution plans
Desirable Skills:
Experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable:
Windows Server internals as related to SQL Server
Storage and I/O architecture
Networking fundamentals (latency, throughput, connectivity)
SQL Server security:
Authentication methods
Permissions and roles
Encryption and auditing
Integration with Active Directory (authentication, service accounts)
Hybrid and modernization exposure (on‑prem SQL Server with cloud connectivity)
Familiarity with Azure SQL offerings is a plus (contextual, not mandatory)
